Cute, Girly Newborn Hat Pattern

Hey, everyone!
So sorry that I haven't posted in longer than forever! I could come up with the most clichè excuse and say I was supper busy with just getting married and the life, but I'll try not to.
Anyway, in the positive note of things, I just came up with a really cute baby girl hat! I made it in pink, white, and black and it came out amazing!
The stitches used are double crochet, front post double crochet, back post double crochet, and slip stitch. 
It's very easy and girly! 

Double crochet- dc
Single crochet - sc
Front post double crochet - fpdc
Back post double crochet - bpdc
Decrease single crochet - dec sc
Slip stitch - sl st
Chain - ch

Sports weight yarn
H hook
Yarn needle

Ch 4
Sl st into the first ch to join

Round 1: ch 2, make 7 dc into the circle, sl st into the top of ch 2. DO NOT TURN.

Round 2: ch 2, make 2 dc into each st around, sl st into the top of ch 2 - 14 dc



Round 3: ch 2, make 1 dc into the dc, then 2 dc into the next dc* repeat around, sl st onto the top of ch 2 - 21

Round 4: ch 2, make 1 dc into the next 2 dc and then 2 dc into the next dc(which make it 1, 1, 2)* repeat around, sl st onto the top of ch 2 - 28

Chane color if desired:

Round 5: ch 2, 1 dc in next 3 dc, then 2 dc in next st* repeat around, sl st into the top of ch 2 - 35


Round 6: ch 2, 1 dc into the next 4 dc, 2 dc into the next dc* repeat around, sl st into the ch 2 - 42 dc

Chane color if desired:

Round 7: ch 2, Fpdc into the first dc, the bpdc into the next dc* repeat around? Sl st into the top of ch 2


Round 8: ch 2, fpdc where there is a fpdc and bpdc where there is a bpdc so they will come out as a line, sl st into top of ch 2.

Chane color if desired:

Round 9-?: repeat round 8, changing color where desired until desired length. DO NOT FASTEN OFF



First Earflap:  

Ch 1

Rows 1-2: sc 10, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc dec over first two sc.  Sc next 6 sc.  Sc dec over last two sc. Ch 1, turn.

Change color if desired.

Row 4: Sc 8, ch 1, turn.

Row 5: Sc dec over first two sc.  Sc next 4 sc.  Sc dec over last two sc.  Ch 1, turn.

Row 6: Sc 6, ch 1, turn.

Change color if desired

Row 7: Sc dec over first two sc.  Sc next 2 sc.  Sc dec over last two sc.  Ch 1, turn.

Row 8: Sc dec over first two sc, sc dec over last two sc. Ch 1, turn.

Row 9: Sc dec over two sc. Sl st into the dec row 

Change color if desired

Ch 36. Sl st into 3rd ch from hook. Fasten off.

Second Earflap:

Sl st into the 8th stitch from the first Earflap.

Repeat rows 1-9 and ch from First Earflap.

Edging:

Sc around and sl st down the chains
When at the front of the hat, make 2 dc in each stitch to make a small ruffle. Fasten off!

Weave in any ends with yarn needle. Add any decorations you want and your done! Easy and cute!

The Wallet/Glasses Case(Free Pattern!)

Wallet/Glasses Case!

Crochet Hook H and J
4ply worsted Weight yarn

Main Piece:
With H Hook ch. 44
Foundation Row: hdc in 3rd ch from hook and across - 42 hdc
ch 2, turn
Row 1: hdc across, ch 2, turn
Change Colors
Row 2: hdc across, ch 2, turn.
Row 3: Repeat Row 2.
Change Colors
Row 4: hdc  across, ch 2, turn
Row 5: Repeat Row 4
Change Colors
Rows 6-12: Repeat Rows 2-5
Fasten Off.

Inside "Barrier":
With J Hook ch 22
Foundation Row: dc in 3rd ch from hook and across - 20 dc
ch 2, Turn
Row 1: dc across, ch 2, turn
Rows 2-5: Repeat Row 1
Fasten Off.

Fold main piece in thirds.
Place "barrier" between a fold.
Sew only one fold's sides with the inside barrier together.
If desired, lengthen the string which you use to sew sides togther and make it as a chain which you hole the wallet with(see picture if you don't understand.)

Messenger Bag (Free Pattern)

Hook size I-9
Yarn: Worsted Weight

ch. 35 (about 10.5")

Foundation Row: hdc on third chain from row. hdc through rest of chains, turn
Row 1-6: Ch 2, hdc across, turn
Row 7: ch 2, hdc across and around
Round 8: dc all around until piece measures about 10"
                    Do Not Fasten Off
Flap: one side of bag, ch 3. dc across. *only on the one side you're on now.*, Turn
Row 2: ch 3, dc across, turn
Row 3: Repeat Row 2 until flap measures 7.5" or to desired length.
                  Fasten Off
Strap: ch 100. on fourth row from hook hdc
Row 1: ch 4, hdc across, turn
Row 2-4: Repeat Row 1
                 Fasten Off Weave In Ends
Sew Straps Into Sides Of Bag
